Trivia

Britney Kay was born in Burley, Idaho on December 30th, 1986 to Mike and Wendy (Anderson) Landrum.

Her father, Mike, was born in Yreka, California. Mike's mother was a member of record and his father was not a member. When Mike was 9 years old his mother reactivated and his father allowed the missionaries to teach the family the restored doctrines of Jesus Christ. Mike and his 3 older brothers were baptized in Ashland, Oregon soon thereafter. Upon moving to Paul, Idaho when Mike was 15 his testimony and understanding of the gospel began to grow. Just before going on his mission he baptized his father on his mother's (suprise) birthday. With the encouragement of his parents and the example of his lifelong friend, John Kloepfer, Mike ultimately desired to serve a mission and did so beginning in 1983. He served among the wonderful people of Kentucky. Within months of returning he met Wendy Anderson from Burley, Idaho. They were married in the Logan, Utah temple on March 21st, 1986 and excitedly began their eternal family with the arrival of Britney.

Her mother, Wendy, was born in Soda Springs, Idaho. Wendy's father and mother were both members of the church but experienced periods of inactivity. After moving to Burley Idaho they became stronger in their testimonies and prepared to go to the temple. When Wendy was 16 she was sealed to her parents for time and all eternity. Britney has been blessed with a strong and wonderful family on both sides.

Britney attended and graduated from Layton High School (Utah). For a graduation gift her parents took her to the east coast to experience the church sites and New York. She worked as an EFY counselor and loved the experience. She also spent a summer in California working as a camp counselor at Catalina Island. She is an amazingly fast typist which helped her find work in the psychology department at BYU. She also helped a family transcribe journals and family history which she enjoyed doing. Britney has developed a strong tesitmony of her Savior and the restored doctrines of Christ. She loves people and will have a great influence.

We are proud of the young woman that she has become and the great missionary that she is.
